Omer Barr, Israeli documentary photographer based in London.

Growing up in a small Kibbutz in southern Israel, Omer experienced a unique upbringing in a cooperative community. In this egalitarian society, every individual shared duties and rights, with all income pooled for the collective well-being of its members. These formative years imprinted upon Omer the importance of unity, understanding, and the beauty of diversity.

It began during his time of service in the Israeli army, where he spend almost 3 years as combat photographer in the prestigious IDF Spokesperson Unit. It was here that his passion for photography took flight, capturing not only the physical battles but also the heart and soul of those he encountered.

Real people, diverse communities, and various religious inspire Omer Barr’s photography. He immerses himself in the tapestry of cultures, capturing their unique expressions, rituals, and traditions.
